In Warsaw, Poland ended World Modern Pentathlon Championships, which were attended by about two hundred athletes from 34 countries.

Of the eight Kazakhstani pentathletes who took part in it, most successfully made Arina Dzhienbalanova that made it to the final of the competition. However, in the final she was not lucky - insulting fall from a horse in show jumping made it impossible to compete for a medal.

In the women's team relay (Daria Halzova and Xenia Alexandrova) took 9th place out of 15 countries, male (Vladislav Sukharev and Andrei Soldatov) - 11th among 17 teams.

In the team competition and the men's team of Kazakhstan (Rustem Sabirhuzin, Andrei Soldatov, Paul Ilyashenko) and female (Daria Halzova, Xenia Alexandrova, Arina Dzhienbalanova) took 18th place out of 21 teams and 20 respectively.

Heroes of the same 2014 World Cup in Warsaw became Russian Alexander Lesun, which has already become a three-time world champion and Samantha Murray of Great Britain. In relays were the best French, Chinese women and Lithuanians (mixed). In the team competition was not equal to the Hungarians and Chinese women.

The main start of the year for Kazakhstani pentathletes will, of course, XVII Summer Asian Games in Incheon (South Korea), where they will have to endure the difficult competition from in the first place, Chinese, Korean and Japanese then athletes. Now the team of Kazakhstan in modern pentathlon went to Potsdam (Germany), where complete its preparations for the 2014 Asian Games.
