From October 5 to October 6, 2013, the XV World Championship in Biathl and Triathl passed in Limassol, Cyprus.

For the first time in history of the competitions, the team of Kazakhstan took part and showed good results in the age group of boys D: Klochko Alexander took the 9th place in the bitter struggle of the 35 participants. In the same age group, Diana Fedosova ranked the 11th place out of 27 participants. In the age group C boys -two boys-athletes Klochko Alexei took the 17th place and Roman Madaichikov won the 15th place. All athletes are the representatives of Kyzylorda branch of the Kazakhstan Federation of Modern Pentathlon.
At this time, the sport events, such as biathl and triathl, are gaining a lot of popularity.

Biathl joined running and swimming. Athletes start in the mass start, running the length distance (according to their age group). After that, they get into a transit zone, where they face swimming competition. Then, the athletes continue their finishing running event.

Triathl combined running, shooting and swimming. It was first introduced in the program of the World Cup. In triathl, the athletes start mass start, a couple of meters after the start, they take the guns and begin to shoot, then jump into the water and swim. The length of distance depends on the age group. Boys C and D pass one round of triathl, juniors and adults pass 4 rounds.
