The head coach of Kazakhstan's pentathlon named the reasons of poor performance of their wards at the World Cup finals in Nizhny Novgorod.

Kazakhstani athletes failed to break into the top ten by the end of the World Cup finals in modern pentathlon. In the competition for women Arina Dzhiyenbalanova took 17 th place, and the leader of the men's team Pavel Il'yashenko  became only the 18th. "Arina Dzhiyenbalanovo still lacks experience, she is still too young to show good results at this level of competition - Chudnovsky said - she needs to work on some species, and in the long term it can grow into a very strong pentathlon" - the head coach of Kazakhstan's modern pentathlon Vadim Chudnovsky said.

The coaching staff expected a better results from the member of the Olympic Games in London Pavel Il'yashenko: "Pavel was ill before the race, he had a temperature of 39 degrees. For the finale, he has not been fully recovered. In swimming he went the distance in two seconds worse than he could also he failed in riding a horse. Due to the cold he missed few days, which was ultimately affected. And the 18th position is not his place, he had to be in the top ten, "- Chudnovsky said. Moreover, Il'yashenko`s performance at the World Cup was under threat. According to the coach, the athlete was worried with his old injury: "We are consulting with doctors; it is likely that Il'yashenko will be on the operation. If that happens, it will not have much time to recover for the world championship. But we will try".

We note that in the World Cup final in modern pentathlon attended by 36 of the world's strongest athletes in men and women.
