Dear colleagues and friends!

New 2014 year is coming and I would like to wish happiness, health to you and your close ones. On the eve of a family holiday, each of us evaluates his achievements and victories, as well as sets new goals and objectives.

This year we had the honor of hosting the mission to receive the strongest p pentahletes of Asia and Oceania. Asian Modern Pentathlon Championships and the II Youth Olympic Games qualifications from Asia and Oceania became one of the major and large-scale sporting events in the life of all Kazakhstan pentathlon fans.

Summing up the year, I want to thank our athletes and coaches for their achievements! 2013 is remembered with bright performances on the world stage. Under the guidance of an experienced coach Vadim Chudnovsky, Pavel Ilyashenko hit the sporting world, becoming the champion of Asia! T Kazakhstan pentathletes have been pursuing this victory during 8 years. His comrades Rustem Sabirkhuzin, Andrei Soldatov have become champions of Asia in the team standings as well.

Speaking on the men's team, I can only note superlative. But our girls are expected to catch up to those great results that`ve been showed by our men's team. We have prerequisites for thi. Unfortunately, due to injury, the leading Kazakhstan pentathlete Arina Dzhiyenbalanova was unable to attend the competition. Women's team was on third place, after the strongest teams from South Korea and China. I hope in the New Year, our beauties still will show their best side.

Asian Cup success would not be possible without the coordinated work of the team of Kazakhstan Federation of Modern Pentathlon. Athletes, coaches, doctors, massage therapists and other professionals gave all their strength, experience and knowledge to achieve their goals. And I want to thank each of them individually.

Brilliant performance of our pentathlon was highlighted  by the heads of the International Federation and the Asian Confederation of Modern Pentathlon. Appreciation was expressed for the organization and holding of the Asian Championship in Kazakhstan.

Many thanks to the Agency for Sports and Physical Education for assistance in conducting a large-scale sporting event.

Special thanks to the General Sponsor "Samruk-Kazyna" and other sponsors and partners of Kazakhstan Federation of Modern Pentathlon for their support and assistance in the development of beautiful sport in our country. Today, eight branches of modern pentathlon of the Republic successfully operate , and this is not the limit. The wards of newcomer coach Ilya Belykh, a head of the Department of Pentathlon in Kyzylorda region, show good results. I believe that in the near future the names of our young stars will be known to the entire sports world.

I am sure that in the new year, each of us will make further efforts to further success. Moreover, the 2014th year is to be bright and saturated at sporting events. I heartily congratulate all on  Happy New Year! I sincerely wish you good health, happiness and new achievements and victories!
