In Astana, at the Ice Palace "Alau" international tournament on fencing, which was attended by around 200 athletes from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan. The people of Kazakhstan were represented by several teams from seven regions of the country. Within 7 days of the athletes played 18 sets of medals in individual and team competitions for juniors, cadets and adults.
The annual international tournament fencing "Astana қylyshy" was attended by athletes and the Kazakhstan Federation of Modern Pentathlon.
Among men were masters of sports of Kazakhstan in modern pentathlon - Dmitry Koshelnik, Ivan Ershov, Igor Sozinov, Pavel Kotka, candidates for master of sports - Ramazanov R., A. Litvinov, Bayan I., E. Maksimenko and athletes 1 and 2 discharges.
In the individual championship Igor Sozinov took 2nd place (master of sports of the RK Fencing), in the final battle, he lost Sharlaimovu B. with a score 12:15. Dmitry Koshelnik not passed to the semifinals, losing Akenteva C. with a score of 14:15, in the end by the result took the 8th place, Paul Kotkov concluded by the 14th place.
In the team competition in men acted Ershov I., D. Koshelnik, Sozinov I. The team performed well in the semi-finals easily beating fencers from Almaty with a score of 22-45. In the end, our team met with the Ust-Kamenogorsk team. Throughout the meeting, leading the score by a margin of 1-2 points, in the end the team lost by a score of 42-45.
Among women in the tournament were 17 people. Xenia Atamanskaya took 7 place, Regina Tamakina 13th place against the background of our athletes performed very well, did not have the tactical and psychological preparedness.
In the team competition in women Atamanskaya K. Tamakina R., T. Muridova (fencing Almaty) proved to be a very worthy and eventually took 3rd place.
