“Off the boat and into the party”, in this way it is probably right to describe the performance of the national pentathletes team leader Pavel Ilyashenko. Pavel had hardly come back from World Cup #2 (taken place in Rio de Janeiro) when he at once won Kazakhstan – 2013 Open Winter Championship.
Besides pentathletes from Kazakhstan there are notable sportsmen from Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan participating in the competition.
Pavel Ilyashenko has taken the 26th place at World Cup #2 Modern Pentathlon organized in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
The international governing body of Modern Pentathlon (UIPM) published the Schedule of World Cup #4 organized in Százhalombatta (Hungary) within the period from 9th to 13th of May.
The International Tournament has taken place within the programme of Open British Junior and Senior Pentathlon Championship on 9th of March in Hartpury (Great Britain). Among the participants there were the sportsmen from Kazakhstan, Germany, France, Egypt, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Latvia and Great Britain.
The invitation for World Cup #4 to be held in Százhalombatta, Hungary on 07-13 May 2013 for the individual event and mixed relay has now been released.
A new World Cup Series season begins within a week in the Californian city of Palm Springs, United States. In the special local climatic conditions of height and desert, pentathletes from all the continents will kickoff the 2013 season with eyes already in Rio 2016 Olympic Games in a long term planning, and looking for ranking points for World Cup Final in a short term.
