ANJO (Japan), 17 November 2025 — The national team of the Republic of Kazakhstan has successfully completed its performance at the Asian Senior Championships.

The tournament, held from 9 to 17 November in the Japanese city of Anjo, was the key strategic start of the season, and our team achieved its main goal: winning qualification licences.

Scale and organisation

The 2025 Asian Championships were held under the auspices of the Asian Confederation (AMPC) in close cooperation with the Japan Modern Pentathlon Association. Thanks to the efforts of the host side, the competition was organised at the highest level, giving athletes excellent conditions to show their skills.

The tournament brought together an impressive field of athletes from 22 countries, ensuring tough competition in every discipline. Participants came from across the continent: from the region's leaders (Kazakhstan, China, Korea, Japan) to representatives of Southeast Asia and the Middle East (including India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Uzbekistan and others).

The main result: licences

The performance in Anjo showed the maturity of the Kazakhstan team. With results tightly packed, our pentathletes confidently came through the qualification rounds and put up a fight in the finals.

The key achievement was winning qualification licences. Under UIPM regulations, this event had the status of an official qualifier, and the quotas obtained give Kazakhstan access to the biggest multi-sport competitions of the coming cycle.

A systemic success

The national team's result is the logical outcome of the long-term strategy of the Kazakhstan Modern Pentathlon Federation.

"The championship in Japan was an important indicator of our readiness. We not only confirmed our position among the elite of Asian pentathlon, but also secured a strategic foundation for future starts," the Federation sums up.

The successful delivery of the training programme was made possible by the systematic support of the general partner, JSC Samruk-Kazyna, and the partner, the SportQory Tourism and Sports Industry Support Foundation.
