GUIYANG (China), 26–27 August 2026 — At the UIPM Modern Pentathlon World Championships, all participants of the individual semi-finals have been determined. Kazakh athletes failed to make the top 36 in either the men's or the women's qualification.

Men

On 26 August, five athletes represented Kazakhstan in the men's qualification, held in three groups among 112 participants:

  • Tikhon Varyokhin — 41st place, 1,552 points;
  • Danil Bogdanov — 56th place, 1,518 points;
  • Lev Chuvashov — 57th place, 1,517 points;
  • Kirill Stadnik — 59th place, 1,512 points;
  • Temirlan Abdraimov — 62nd place, 1,507 points.

A top-36 finish was required to reach the semi-final, so none of the Kazakh athletes continued into the fencing ranking round.

Women

On 27 August, 76 athletes in two qualification groups competed for a place in the semi-final. Kazakhstan was represented by three pentathletes:

  • Yuliana Petrova — 55th place, 1,325 points;
  • Ayana Kazbekova — 60th place, 1,311 points;
  • Yaroslavna Poner — 61st place, 1,308 points.
