Berik Mazhitovich Imashev – Chairman of the Central Election Commission, statesman and politician. President of Kazakhstan Federation of Modern Pentathlon, vice-president of UIPM.
In 1977 Berik Imashev finished high school in Karaganda. In 1982 – received diploma with honors of law faculty of the Moscow State University on law specialty.
Berik Imashev started his career in prosecutor’s office; worked as an assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Secretary of the Security Council.
In 2008 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan he was appointed as a Deputy of Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Same year Berik Imashev was appointed as a Chairman of the Committee on Legislation and Legislative Reform.
From 2011 – Chairman on Constitutional Legislation, Court System and Law Enforcement Agency of the Senate of the Parliament.
Berik Imashev is awarded with “Kurmet” and “Parasat” medals, Certificate of Honor of CIS Inter-Parliament Assembly Council, “10 years to Astana” Anniversary medal.
Laureate of the International Fund of U. Semenov "Detective and politics".
Author of "Criminological problems of illegal bankruptcy".
Together with his wife Leila Muhanbetovna raised three children: daughters - Aida and Adiya and son - Alzhan.
