The total amount of the participants was 65 athletes from 22 countries.
Kazakh juniors, starting with confidence, lost ground a little in the end of the perfomance. However, it should be noted that the level of performance of our athletes is a good momentum of growth. Of course, a lot of work both in the technical and in the power events, in order to compete for the top places in the world rankings, is to be done. Thus, the results of our young pentathlon at the World Championships:
- In person team event:
Denis Tyurin - 4328 points and 24th place,
Igor Sozinov - a total of 4128 points and 33 place
Pavel Kotkov 3688 points and 52 place.
- In relay races:
Sozinov, Tyurin D., Drobotov A. scored a total of 4404 points, 9th place out of 12 teams.
- In relay races MIX:
Olesya Mylnikova and Denis Tyurin to totals 5092 took 10th place of 13 teams.
Remember, from 26th of September to 4th of October 2013 Astana will host a large-scale event - the Asian Championships in modern pentathlon, where our athletes will be able to show their skills and experience, and become the best in the Asian continent.
