Today Kazakhstani pentathletes Pavel Ilyashenko and Rustem Sabirhuzin leave for Poland for final polishing of their preparedness before the Olympiad in London.
The sk-sport.kz portal reminds that pentathletes will perform in London under the veil of Olympiad on August, 11. Ilyashenko and Sabirkhuzin, as we were informed by the Kazakhstan federation of modern pentathlon, will depart for the capital of Great Britain on Agusut, 7.
As for their stay in Poland, they will participate in the training camp with representatives of several countries at once - the USA, Poland, Germany, Korea, Lithuania, .. One of our two Olympians – Ilyashenko - became a main hero of international competitions in the memory of Amangeldy Imanov, which were held in July in Almaty region in Kapshagai. First, Pavel won individual competitions, and then, together with oter prize winners Andrey Soldatov and Leonid Vimarev he became a part of the first team of Kazakhstan, which won a men's relay. Together with the trio headed by Ilyashenko, pentathletes of Korea and the second team of Kazakhstan (Herman Sobolev, Ivan Yershov, and Dmitriy Koshelnik) went up the pedestal.
Another representative of our country in Olympics in modern pentathlon Rustem Sabirkhuzin skipped Imanov memorial to heal his "old sores". Nonetheless, according to the assurances of the national team coaches, he is expected to be in full combat readiness by the time the Olympiad starts.
